Parish Announcements for August 14

1. The ushers will take a second collection for Catholic Charities of Southern NM.  

2. Youth Faith Formation parent meeting is this coming Wednesday, 8/17, in the Parish Hall. Parents of kindergarten through grade 6 students will meet at 6 pm, and parents of Confirmation students will meet at 7 pm. Classes begin on Wednesday, 8/24. You can still register by downloading the Youth Faith Formation registration from the Assumption website or going to the church office. There is a $25 late fee which will increase to $35 on August 18. So be sure to register by Wednesday!

2. In conjunction with the three-year National Eucharistic Revival, our Diocese is hosting a diocesan-wide tour of the first-class relics of Blessed Carlo Acutis and St. Manuel Gonzales Garcia. In our parish, the relics will be displayed from Sunday, August 28 until Monday, August 29--read the poster for more info (posted here at the Announcements tab and on the parish bulletin boards).

3. Holy Cross Retreat Center is offering a five-part series on coping with divorce and a retreat on The Healing Power of Forgiveness. For more information, please check the parish bulletin boards. 

4. The Monastery of Christ in the Desert raffle tickets are still available in the office.

5. This week Fr. Jarek will have eye surgery. He will go to Albuquerque with Fr. Ephraim. Daily Masses on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be celebrated by Fr. Larry (Chaplain of the Poor Clares Monastery), and on Thursday, the ASCS Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Lalo. Also, there will be no Evening Adoration on Thursday. 

6. This Monday, August 15, on the Solemnity of the B.V.M., we will have a Mass at 12:10 pm.
