Parish Announcements for 7/16/2023

1. The ushers will take “The Good Shepherd Collection fund”. Thank you for your generosity.
 
2. We are approaching the Altar & Rosary garage sale. Drop-off will be the first week in August, and the garage sale will take place Saturday, August 5th.
 
3. Registration for Youth Faith Formation is $60 this year. However, you can receive a $20 discount per child if you register by July 28. Registrations can be completed after the Sunday Masses this weekend, July 15 and 16, and next weekend, July 22 and 23. We will also take registrations in the Conference Room of the church office Wednesday, July 19 from 4 – 7 pm. Take advantage of this early registration discounted price of $40 and help ensure we have enough books and supplies.



Parents meeting for Youth Faith Formation will be held on August 18, and our first class will be on August 23. Catechist aides are needed for Kindergarten and RCIC. We also need occasional substitutes. If you would like to help, call Carol Dutchover, Director of Religious Education afternoons Monday - Friday.

4. A celebration of Bishop Baldacchino’s 4th Anniversary of Installation as the third Bishop for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Las Cruces, will be held on Saturday, July 22, at the 5:30 p.m. Vigil Mass at the Cathedral of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Las Cruces. Bishop Baldacchino will preside at this Mass and will also extend a special blessing for and sending of pilgrims traveling to Lisbon Portugal for World Youth Day, 2023, with Pope Francis. A reception and outdoor events will follow the Mass. All are invited.
 
5. St. Jude Parish in Alamagordo is offering a Conference for Catholic Men and Women on September 23. More information is provided on the poster located on the bulletin board. If you are interested in participating, please contact our parish office.
 
6. As every year, August 15th is the feast day of our parish. We are planning to celebrate the “Parish Feast” on Sunday, August 13th. There will be delicious food and various games and activities for children and whole families. In next weekend’s parish bulletin, you will find a poster with more details.
