ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH

Parish Announcements for the Week of 4/9/23

Jill Domschot • April 10, 2023
  1. Today from 1-3 PM, Knights of Columbus are inviting children for their Easter Egg Hunt. Please meet in the parish hall.
  2. Next Sunday, we are celebrating Divine Mercy Sunday. From 2-3 PM, we will have Confession, and at 3 PM, Adoration. Please join us.
  3. Thank you for your presence and prayers as we celebrate this special Easter Sunday. We especially extend a warm welcome to anyone who is visiting with us from other places or faith backgrounds. As we gather today on the holy ground of our parish church, we celebrate the beautiful gift of life that God has blessed each of us with. If you are with us today but do not worship with our community on a regular basis, I welcome you home to the Catholic Church and extend an invitation to visit with one of the priests, to answer any questions you may have about our faith. We are here to serve you and to guide you in the journey of the beauty of our faith.

At the Easter Vigil, we welcome 6 new Catholics into our parish family. If you or a loved one would ever like more information about becoming Catholic, please feel free to speak with one of the priests or Faith Formation staff. Christian Initiation is an ongoing process in our community. We look forward to walking with you on this journey of faith.

I pray that you and your loved ones have a Blessed Easter! When you come before the Lord, please for me, for Fr. Ephraim, for our religious sisters -- for all who serve in our parish, and for our staff. Know that we will pray for you, your loved ones, and your intentions. We may not see each other each day, but may we meet each day in our prayers!
  4. Big thanks for making Holy Week and Easter Sunday such a success for the glory of God. Thank you to the altar servers, the ushers, the music ministry, the RCIA team, and all who decorated the church. Please continue to pray that the Holy Spirit continues to bless our parish, convert our hearts, and guide us all to the Mercy of God.

Happy Easter!!
